Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I handle emergency leave requests?
A: Review and process immediately. The system allows backdated approvals if needed. Communicate with the employee about required documentation.
Q: Can I modify approved leave requests?
A: Yes, but it's not recommended. If necessary, reject the approved request and ask the employee to submit a new one with correct details.
Q: How do I handle leave during notice period?
A: Check company policy. Generally, leave during notice period is restricted. You can reject such requests or adjust the last working day accordingly.
Q: What if an employee's balance goes negative?
A: This depends on your leave type configuration. If "Allow Negative Balance" is enabled, the system permits it. Otherwise, the request will show LWP days.
Q: How do I handle leave for part-time employees?
A: Configure prorated leave entitlements based on working hours. Adjust accrual rates in the leave type settings or make manual adjustments.
Q: Can I delegate approval authority?
A: Yes, assign appropriate roles to department managers or team leads. They can approve requests for their team members.
